Elizabeth Rosensteel is a talented interior designer who commissioned me to re-vamp her web site, and to place a greater focus on her many different areas of expertise than what she previously had. With that in mind, I designed her new site so that visitors could easily explore her full portfolio in a dynamic and easily-navigable way. rosensteeldesign.com
This starts at her homepage, where a row of animated designs slowly metamorphoses into beautiful photographs of her completed works. Since clean, minimalist graphics play a huge role in Elizabeth’s visual identity, I decided to use them to create a simple color code for each category of design in her portfolio. That way, those who wished to learn more about each category could easily do so. In addition, I overlaid blueprint-style, animated drawings over several photographs of her finished designs. Then, I placed these drawings on both the homepage and on other sections of the site, to invite visitors to “see” the full scope of her work from start to finish. By connecting these blueprints to the final product, visitors gain a greater appreciation for the length and breadth of Elizabeth’s design process.

Throughout this process, I wanted visitors to come away with a real sense of Elizabeth’s capabilities as a designer. She is a pioneer in structures, spaces and furniture, and I wanted to help her share that with an even larger audience.
