RAAD Fest is the world’s largest event focused on what’s known as radical life extension, and it is geared toward scientists and the general public alike. This annual event blends scientific information with entertainment and inspiration, all with the overarching goal of extending human life.
The founders of the event asked me to create a powerful visual brand that would accomplish two goals: first, to convey the overall spirit of the event; and second, to increase public awareness of the scientific and technological advances currently shaping humanity’s future.
I defined the overarching vision guiding my work as “humans seeing the infinite future.” Since RAAD Fest stands for Revolution Against Aging and Death, I chose the infinity symbol to represent the movement toward extending the human lifespan beyond known limits.
The artistic, colorful background texture of the logo reflects the humanistic, joyful spirit of the festival. It was important to highlight how RAAD Fest brings together people of different backgrounds and age groups to explore the latest breakthroughs in aging-related science—while still feeling inspired, connected, and celebratory of life.
From 2016 to 2018, I created a wide range of visual assets for each annual RAAD Fest, including logos, stage and entrance banners, brochures, name tags, DVD packaging, T-shirts, and social media graphics.
In addition, I designed the logo and full stationery system for the Coalition for Radical Life Extension, the primary sponsor of RAAD Fest.
